Call your local office of elections
to find out who is doing voter registration. Contact these people
and ask if you can sit with them to ask for pledges.
-
Call up people you know who volunteer
for political causes. Work beside them asking for pledges. This
helps them get the people they talk to to USE THE GUIDE, which
is one of the best ways to help them with their cause.
-
Find a very long line and talk
to everyone in the line to ask for pledges. In or near places
of business make sure you have permission from the owner or
manager.
-
Talk to your church pastor to
see if you can set up a booth for voter registration and pledges.
-
Make sure you deliver your completed
pledges to THE GUIDE administrator or one of the assigned moderators
for your county. Click on "Send Here" to the left
for the address or contact info.
Note: To ask for a
pledge just say, "Excuse me. Can I get you to read and sign
this?" That's all there is to it. Make sure they complete the
number of hours and leave them a blank copy.
