About Me

Hmmm. Should I tell you the sordid details? Or should I make myself look like a champ? Should I start at the beginning? Sure, why not?

The Beginning

I was the youngest of six kids. My oldest brother, Chickie, had Down Syndrome and somehow that made us all very special - much more so than the fact that my father was a VP at Allied Chemical who got them to purchase the #1 Times Square Building in the 1960s, or that his father had been the first tenant in the Empire State Building, or even the fact that the house we lived in in Rye was sold To Paul Stookey of Peter Paul and Mary and that Dad's AA partner was our neighbor across the pond - Jonathan Winters, a famous comedian. We moved to Florida when I was eight. My favorite memories had more to do with riding on the back of Chickie's giant adult trike down the Dodge Estate hill and buying hamburgers and cokes at the Sailfish Club in Palm Beach. He was the star of the whole town. I have great memories and some great pictures.

The Family

I married Lisa (Tebeau) Ladasic in 1990 and now have two boys I love, Jonathan and George. The boys are a little The Carvins - James, Lisa, Jonathan, Georgeolder now than they were when this photo was taken in 2000.

Lisa has worked in the hospitality industry since 1988, which is possibly why she's been such a perfect mom. If I ever get ordained she'll be mom for a whole church.

The house is always filled with kids who flock here from the neighborhood.

I've got a pretty tight family. We have reunions almost every year. They may not all want their photos on the web where everyone can see them so I'll just leave the details about my family at that. In short, they are a great group. And there is a lot of love.

The Church

Lisa and I have taken an interesting spiritual journey together. We've worshipped in every conceivable setting - Baptist, Presbyterian, Evangelical, Non-Denominational, Catholic, Orthodox, Pentecostal, AME, COG, Missionary Alliance and more. We have been attending Christ Fellowship since 2000, but have been called now to start a new church - The All Night Church - an inter-denominational church, (not non-denominational) that never closes. To manage such a thing, we need all the churches to work together. We are very excited about what the Lord is doing.

I am also a faith partner of the Brotherhood of St. Symeon the New Theologian and a son of my spiritual father, the Archamandrite Father Eusebius Stephanou, whose love and prayers I deeply cherish. St. Symeon is an all too little known historical figure, who wrote copiously, right about the time of the great schizm between the Orthodox and Catholic churches. His writings have recently been translated into English and would benefit all - be they Orthodox, Catholic or Reformed.

The Business

Creative Realty Network is growing very quickly. I started the company in July, 2006 and I already have over 2300 bird dogs and real estate investors who scope out great investment properties in about sixty countries. It is quite an amazing opportunity. With little or no investment you can profit from American real estate even during a historical slump like the one we are having now. In many ways, the real estate bubble burst is a profit source from the investor's perspective because we are in a buyer's market and foreclosure prevention is in high demand. At the same time, many borrowers can only qualify for mortgages if the seller offers financing or a lease/purchase option. We provide the best for both.

The Pool

OK, that's the business stuff. For fun, I still love the pool, the beach and any kind of water sport, but my chiropractor says no more springboard diving.

My Writing

I also enjoy writing and studying the Bible and Church history. My masters degree is rare. It was from an Eatern Orthodox Christian "School of Eschatology" so some of my books have centered on end times prophecy. I have no copies so you will have to contact St. Michael Academy if you want one. I served as a professor there from 1992-1995 and St. Michael Press was the publisher of seven of my books. My prophecy commentaries written during my tenure there included The Sign of Jonah, Enoch Revealed, and The Seven Millennia of History. My other commentaries discussed prophecy, as well. These included commentaries on Galatians and 1st and 2nd Thessalonians, Paul's Apostolic Authority, Paul's Jewish Education, and Holy Week Meditation. A three page summary of my doctrine and commitments can be found by clicking here. This may help you understand what "Orthodoxy" is, as I see it anyway.

After leaving seminary I wrote a few other books that were never published. I wrote Evangelical Orthodox Christianity and A Family Portrait: Seeking Unity in the Age of Communication and most recently I wrote a 198 page introduction to A Taxi Cab Driver's Guide to the Bible. Not having a publisher, and seeing that none of these works are complete, I have placed these projects on hold so that I can focus my energies on my other visions at this time. Afterwards, I plan to come back to them and to some other works I have in mind.

I plan to live to the age of 200 or more, so there is plenty of time.
